Girl Scout Cookies

It's that time of year again, no not Valentine's Day, but girl scout cookies!!
If you've never heard of these delicios treats, girl scouts come around to people's houses and go to the mall to sell cookies. Not just any plain old cookies like oreos, either. The types of cookies they sell are shortbread, carmel delite, daisy go rounds, peanut butter patties, and so many more. One of my personal favorites is the carmal delites. Right now at my house, we have 6 boxes of girl scout cookies!!
Also, buying these cookies is a good cause for girl scouts to win worthless prizes they'll never use again! Of course, there are some better prizes in the prize catalog but you have to sell about $200 to get them. That's a lot of cookies!

Girl scout cookies get a 8/10.

My Cat, Tooty

I love my cats. I also love blogging. This doesn't mean this will turn into a pet blog. This is my cat Tooty. She likes to play dress up sometimes.

Tooty has alwys been a cute, lovable cat who stays out of your way, and for some reason only meows when going to the *whispers* V-E-T.
Very recently, it's been as if we're starving her. Now, before you get on my back about how much food cat needs every day and animal abuse, we I take good care of my cats. They have dry food out all day, and they get wet food sometimes, too. Also, my cats are about 16 years old, and Tooty has not shown this behaviour until a couple weeks ago.

At first, it was Sissy ((Tooty's sister)) trying to eat bacon or part of an omlete off your plate. No big deal, I would just push her down and she'd pretty much go away. Tooty was never like this. She occansionally tried to eat bacon, but it was no big deal.

Lately, any time I turn my back on anything, Tooty will be on it in 2 seconds. Even if it's something a cat wouldn't even be interested in like pudding or pretzels. Even chocolate attracts Tooty. Also, if I eat anything, Tooty always tries to find a way to jump up and find a way to eat it. I push her off the chair? She just tries again. Even if I walk all the way into the next room and put her there, she'll come back. I'm pretty sure she's a mix of Wil E Coyote and "The Cat Who Came Back".

This wasn't a big deal for me. Lately, she's been getting annoying. She jumps onto the counter looking for food, goes in the sink even if there's nothing in there, drinks out of the toilet, and tries to open the garbage can. We had to put a dictionary on out old wood one so she couldn't knock the lid off. We even had to buy a new one where you push down on the step for it to open!

I would give Tooty a 6/10. I still love her, but she gets on my nerves.

Memes

Yay for memes! I love memes, so I'll be doing various memes even though they don't exactly qualify as 'reviews'. Here's the first one:

Okay, so there's a meme going around where you go to the 6th folder in your pictures then click on the 6th picture, then write about it. Here's mine:

This picture was taken 7/11/08 at 3:38 PM. It's our hotel room at the Holiday Inn in Philadelphia. Me, my mom, dad, and cousin went to see a Phillies game. Also, all those clothes on the bed are my mom's. It was a very fun day, because we also went swimming. Oh, and it was 3 days before my birthday.

I'll give memes a 8/10.

Movie Theaters

One thing I love to do is go see a movie. I also love doing a few of those 'Annoying Things to do in Movie Theaters'. Don't get me wrong, though - I don't do anything stupid like calling out "FIRE!!" in the middle of the movie. I prefer things that won't totally get me kicked out of the movie theater for life.

So, this Sunday, me and my two friends went to go see Mall Cop. ((That's a review for another day.)) Earlier that day, me and my friend had been talking on AIM about crazy things we could do. Of course, we didn't actually do any of them.

Although, when we were ordering popcorn, I was really hyper so I asked the cashier after ordering "What's your return policy on popcorn?" The rest went a little like this:

Me: "What's your return policy on popcorn?"
Cashier: "...Who would want to return popcorn?"
Me: (is cracking up)
Cashier: "Well, that's the strangest question I've ever heard... we don't have a return policy. Enjoy your popcorn."

After this, I was laughing so hard. Also, while standing in line, me and my friends were deciding whether or not to ask the cashier out. We obviously didn't do this.

Sorry I've been gone so long. Oh, and I don't recommend calling out "FIRE!" in a movie theater.

Movie theaters get a 9/10.

What Not To Wear

Ahhh, What Not To Wear with Stacey and Clinton. I absolutely love this show. It makes me feel better about the clothes I wear and they do give some good fashion tips.
It's really interesting to see how they look in the beginning, wearing torn t-shirts and stained jeans with really messy hair, then see them at the end. But, of course, you can't forget the best part. When Stacey and Clinton throw all of their clothes in a trashcan and tell them why their clothes are really bad in a magical 360 mirror.
The part I really don't like in this show is the end when they tell you how much was spent on all the clothes. One, I don't really care, and two, it sometimes makes me jealous when they have a pair of cute shoes for $400.
I enjoy seeing how different they look at the end, and I like to see how they changed the person's hair and makeup.

I just enjoy a lot of fashion shows I guess.

This show gets a 7/10.

5 Year Olds Who Have Cell Phones

5 year olds with cell phones? Oh, it's just some Barbie phone, right? No, it's not? It's a real cell phone they got for Christmas and how dare I stick my nose in your business?

Well, this just baffles me. Not all 5 year olds have cell phones, obviously, it's just strange to me when anyone under the age of 10 has a cell phone. Anyone younger is probably a little too inexperianced and might break it. Oh, and can you say spoiled brat? So, what are the cons of giving your little precious a cell phone?

  • It could break. Do you really want to spend about $100 to get a cell phone that might get thrown down the stairs?
  • How much use would they get out if it? Really now, they're only going to have about 5 contacts. Mommy, daddy, grammy, grandpa, and the dog/cat. Maybe even both household pets. Will they know how to use every feature? Probably not, which is why you'll be spending even more money buying cell phone games for the kid.
  • Do they really need it? If you say 'but what if my child gets lost in some big city?' If you're the kind of parent that lets their kid get lost in some big city, you should really stay out of the big cities. Would your kid even be able to use the cell phone to call you without getting mugged?
  • You'll probably get annoyed. "Mommy, how do I do this?" "Daddy how do I do that?" "Grammy, what's texting?" "Puppy, why won't you answer the phone?"

Maybe it's time for some pros...

  • If your kid knows how to use the cell phone, they'll be so distracted playing with it you can do your own thing.
  • You can tell them it's the only cell phone they're ever getting so be careful.

I hope anyone who's planning to get their 5 year old a cell phone carefully considers all the pros and cons. And if it does work out for you, good job.

5 year olds with cell phones get a 3/10.
